Dr. Neelam Pathak (Professor, Department of Biochemistry) is presently gracing the office of Dean Student Welfare of the University. The full-fledged office of the Dean Student Welfare of University looks after the welfare of the students within and outside the campus. Apart from various academic activities, DSW office of the University provides opportunity to the students to use their potential for the cultural and extracurricular activities.

Dean Student welfare works toward the welfare and well-being of the students in the campus, so that a healthy environment is created for all round personality growth of the students. DSW office provides abundant openings and facilities for the overall development of personality and leadership skills among the students. In addition, the effective participation of students in the management of hostels, games & sports, cultural and literary activities are promoted.

DSW team shall always be at the disposal of students and provide them conducive environment for their creative endeavours with the motto “Friendly, Fair and Firm”. A number of efforts has been made in order to bring our students above the mark. Dean Students Welfare office functions as a nodal centre for curricular and extra-curricular activities. DSW shall maintain essential particulars of each student from the date of his/her enrolment in the University and arrange congenial living environment in the campus including Hostels for the students. DSW office coordinates with the Office of the Wardens in the smooth functioning of the girls & boys' hostels. DSW office deputes students to participate in events/programmes outside the university and coordinates with the Chief Proctor on matters related to students' discipline in the University. DSW shall make arrangement with Railway authorities for the issue of railway concessions to students during vacations for educational tours, and for students' participation in extracurricular activities and sports. Students' grievances are classified in two categories, with separate redressal mechanism for each category of grievance viz. Academic grievances and NonAcademic grievances.

This office organizes the following activities for the welfare of the students:
Cultural activities:
  • Inter collegiate Youth Festival.
  • Participation in debate competition for national level.
Scholarships:
  • Meritorious / Poor students get full / half freeship. All the facilities including scholarship provided by the U. P. Govt. are extended to students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC / GEN classes.
